The book "Living in an Indigo House, the Heartaches &Victories of First Wave Indigos" has literally taken on a life and spirit of its own. This was particularly evident when trying to get it to press. It would not budge till the last chapters were written and some other things inside altered or removed. As I was talking to Ann, one of my editors about this, we started making jokes about how the characters on the front and back covers are also coming to life. We laughed and said it wouldn't be a surprise at all if we got reports from Indigos that said they had in-depth conversations and encouraging, spiritual advice from the cover characters, including the plants and animals.
Then Ann said, "We already know that Mushrooms can talk!" When I heard that I immediately broke out in hysterical laughter! It brought up bizarre memories of days gone by.....
Here is the story I had told Ann several months ago - one, I had totally forgotten about:
In the early 90's I used to make Manchurian Mushroom Tea or Kombucha Tea...which was the health food rage at the time. I kept several gallon sun-tea jars with these Mushrooms fermenting and made health drinks in my bedroom on a table. I loved it because when I got thirsty, I could just walk over and get some sparkling mushroom juice right from the spigot! I started to develop a real love for these little life forms but never dreamed they would be so devoted to me.
When I returned home from a two-day trip, I walked into my room and as I started to clean up, I could "feel the mushrooms." They felt upset for some reason, so I walked over to their jars to see what they were so disturbed about. They all started freaking out and telling me that my husband at that time, had been cheating on me while I was gone! I held them and cried as they told me everything that happened. They filled me in on all the details of how this girlfriend, a diabolical spider woman who despised me, had come into my bedroom and tried to destroy the sacred energies of my sacred space and altars there. It was as if she had marked her territory in all 4 corners of the room and desecrated my alters. I was mortified. Why would my brainless husband bring her here, of all places!? I sobbed and said, "No, No, No..... are you sure???" They assured me and gave me even more information. I gathered my composure and confronted (my now ex-husband) with this information. At first he denied it ...but when I gave him too many details of what happened, he got scared, and confessed everything......and then promptly removed the mushrooms from the bedroom and took them into the living room. He was always uneasy around them after that and began taking extra special care of them.....probably in an effort to make up to them, but I think mostly to Kiss Up!
This is just one of myriads of stories in my history of how I have been able to converse with what most people might call "inanimate objects." I know that many of you reading this have also had many enlightening experiences while talking to "things."
